Meet the Family

Deedra Everett

Supervisee in Social Work

Pronouns: she/her

I see play as the language children use to express and process their experiences and big emotions. To help your child grow through play I create a safe space for them to explore their inner world and move toward healing.

Specialties:

I specialize in working with children ages 4-12 struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, and self-regulation as well as adjusting to new or difficult situations including separation and divorce, a change in school, sibling relationships, and social/peer issues. I also provide parent coaching and therapy.

Modalities:

I primarily work as a child-centered play therapist, with the additional perspective of relational, psychodynamic, expressive, attachment-based, and family systems approaches. My goal is to gently and compassionately help your child explore their inner world, develop coping skills, and work through trauma.

Credentials:

Master of Social Work; Supervisee in Social Work; Currently pursuing  CPT play therapy and EMDR training.
