Virtual Mental Health sessions allow you or your child to connect with a therapist online, through a HIPPA compliant platform. You can get the same benefits of driving to a counselor’s office from the comfort of your own home. It is possible for you or your child to get the help you need while maintaining work schedules, academic demands, extra-curricular activities and a busy social life.
Online counseling offers a safe space to explore things in life that may not be working well without you or your child having to travel to your therapist’s office. It is a healthy and self-caring way to work on yourself and learn better ways to handle your thoughts, feelings, relationships, home, and work life.
Our team understands that you and your child’s mental health is top priority. A busy schedule should not keep you from taking care of your mental health needs. Contact us today about our virtual visits.
It is important to know that The Wise Family only offers online counseling for Virginia residents. Also, keep in mind that some insurance companies do not reimburse virtual sessions. Be sure to check with your provider before scheduling a session. If your insurance does not currently cover online counseling, you can still seek computer-based therapy at our regular rate.
She has been a tremendous help with family issues and getting our children organized for success in life. Highly recommend her.— Mom of three young adults ages 20 – 24
Amy knows how to relate to children, and make them feel comfortable . My son was shy at the beginning but Amy asked him a couple questions about what he likes and immediately found the connection to him. He happily followed her in the office (just after a 3 min of conversation) and preformed the test. He wasn’t nervous or scared and it’s bc of her ability to relate to kids.
We had a great experience and he wants to go back! Thank you very much!— Dad of 5-year-old assessment client
“Amy talks about moving children from being externally-driven to internally-driven…and she helps you get there!”— Parent of 15-year-old daughter
