Therapist for The Wise Family
Rebecca grew up overseas where she lived in the United Kingdom, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Eventually Rebecca and her family returned to the US where she attended public school in Fairfax County, before earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia.
Rebecca is a happy mom of her 1 year old son Declan and currently works during the day as a middle school counselor in Prince William County. Rebecca earned her Masters Degree in Education from The George Washington University, and recently earned her license in Virginia as a Professional Counselor. Rebecca loves working with adolescents and parents and believes that it truly takes a village to raise a happy and healthy child.
When Rebecca is not counseling, she likes to spend her time singing, cooking, taking walks with her husband and son, and watching The Great British Bake Show. Rebecca is very excited to join The Wise Family and looks forward to working with you.
Amy knows how to relate to children, and make them feel comfortable . My son was shy at the beginning but Amy asked him a couple questions about what he likes and immediately found the connection to him. He happily followed her in the office (just after a 3 min of conversation) and preformed the test. He wasn’t nervous or scared and it’s bc of her ability to relate to kids.
We had a great experience and he wants to go back! Thank you very much!— Dad of 5-year-old assessment client
“Amy brings together the best emotion-focused strategies with cutting-edge brain science to change the lives of children and families”— Parent of adopted twin girls
“Amy is like Oprah – she’s the neighbor you love who is very, very smart”— Parent of 14-year-old son and 18-year-old daughter
“I went home and practiced what Amy taught me…and it worked!”— 8-year-old coaching client
