Miguel is a queer Latino and Resident in Counseling for the Wise Family. Miguel is a New England native, originally from Providence, RI where he attended Rhode Island College and received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Dance performance. He recently finished his Masters of Arts at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (Washington D.C campus) and is currently in their Doctoral program studying Clinical Psychology. He resides in Maryland with his husband and puppy. In his previous life, he was a professional dancer touring the globe when he decided to focus on his other love, counseling!
Miguel has experience working with teens in many settings like summer programs, school assemblies, and dance classes/ performances. He has clinical experience as an intern at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, working with adult psychiatric individuals. Miguel is excited to expand his knowledge and work with teens, as he is a kid at heart! Miguel utilizes a person-centered approach and provides a safe space to create a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients.
In his spare time, Miguel likes to watch scary movies on mute, spend time with his husband and puppy dog Honey, and dance of course!
