Kaylee Bashor

Kaylee is a graduate-level intern therapist at Wise Family Wellness. She was born and raised in Southern California and briefly lived in Nashville, TN before settling down in Northern Virginia.

Kaylee completed her B.S. in Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of California San Diego. Kaylee is currently pursuing her M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy with an emphasis in Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling from Touro University. Kaylee has a substantial background in neuroscience and clinical neuropsychology research from UC San Diego, the VA, and Vanderbilt University. Prior to beginning this internship, Kaylee worked as a Geriatric Care Manager and Certified Dementia Care Partner.

Kaylee specializes in supporting middle-aged and older adult individuals, couples, and families that are adjusting to life transitions, dementia, medical trauma, caregiver burnout, and grief. Kaylee is also interested in supporting preteens, teens, and young adults that may be struggling with trauma, stress, anxiety, or depression. Kaylee utilizes a family systems lens in conjunction with cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy interventions. She also likes to incorporate music and other creative art forms in the therapy room.

In her free time, Kaylee enjoys singing/playing guitar, hiking with her husband and dog, cooking new recipes, reading books, and practicing yoga. With regard to sports, Kaylee is a devoted fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Nashville Predators, and New York Yankees.
