September is here and, although the days are still warm, everything is starting to change! At The Wise Family we know all about changing because we experience it every day – with our patients, with ourselves and within our practice! So, in the spirit of CHANGE, we would like to share with you the exciting changes that are happening!

We are thrilled to welcome three (yes, THREE) new clinicians to The Wise Family. Here is a bit about each of them –
Kasey Cain, Resident in Counseling Resident is a mom to two fabulous daughters, loves mint chocolate chip ice cream, and loves to dance. She has very acute hearing and can track multiple conversations at once! She loves to read, dance and take naps in her spare time. Kasey’s knowledge of the school system and best practices for teaching and learning, paired with her honed counseling skills, leaves her expertly suited to work with children and their families. She believes in the power of play and that all behavior is communication.
Amanda Beyland, LCSW has called Alexandria home for most of her life. Her ideal vacation is a week at the beach with a good book (or six). She enjoys cooking and baking however she usually gives away most of the treats to her friends and family. Although she does not have her own dog she is an enthusiastic puppy aunt! In her free time you might find Amanda around the fire pit catching up with her friends or scouting new places to photograph.
Dominique Adkins, EdD, LPC is a Hoya from New York that never misses US Open Tennis, NY Giants football, or Georgetown basketball. Dominique enjoys traveling and exercising in her free time. Dominique’s love of Italian food, especially gelato, was solidified after her time in Italy. Dominique’s biggest accomplishment is being the first in her family to earn a doctorate.
